Froggy’s World

Made soundtrack and recorded foley for Google’s Froggy’s World game. Since the game is tied to the weather, I had to compose songs that evoked certain moments of the day, like a song that feels  “sunny” versus “rainy” or “cloudy.” So thinking about the nuances of a song and adjusting instrumentation and style to fit the weather and mood were really important.

Recorded foley was also challenging as I had to seek out sounds in nature and incorporate it into the compositions. For example, the song that plays during rainy nights contains the sound of bamboo hitting wood. But finding the exact bamboo and the right kind of wood proved to be a challenge. So I recreated it by hitting two water bottles together and splashing water in my sink.
